The Happy Hunter
Written and Illustrated by Roger Duvoisin
One fine autumn day when the leaves are yellow, Mr. Bobbin puts on his hunting clothes and goes off into the forest. He feels so delighted to be strolling through the woods in his big yellow coat and big black boots. But in his enthusiasm, Mr. Bobbin has forgotten his great love of nature and animals, which will make of him a hunter who cannot hunt! A gentle, peaceable man who sups on Boston beans, pancakes, milk, applesauce, hot chocolate and tea, Mr. Bobbin can only live in harmony with the animals of the forest and the beautiful world around him.
