The BFG Dream Jar Contest

In honour of The BFG’s arrival, Woods in the Books and Books Ahoy! are looking for dream jars filled with dreams, from golden phizzwizards to trogglehumpers and everything in between!

Make and bring your Dream Jar to Woods in the Books or Books Ahoy! and we’ll give you a Golden Ticket for your Dream Jar. (Remember to use recycled materials and keep things eco-friendly!)

The Golden Ticket will give you 20% off your next Roald Dahl book!

We want Dream Jars from children, parents, children AND parents, brothers and sisters, and everything else you can think of.

We’ll announce our favourite Dream Jar on 12 September 2016 at the Roald Dahl 100 Tea Party at Books Ahoy!, so don’t forget to come and party with us!

The BFG Dream Jar Contest runs from 18 July - 11 September. It is recommended for ages 6 - 99.

 

How to take part in The BFG Dream Jar Contest:

1 Look around your home for an empty jar or bottle. We recommend using a recycled jar to be earth-friendly!

2 Design a dream and put it inside the jar. Any Dream Jars with liquids inside MUST be properly sealed to prevent leaking all over the shop!

3 Label your Dream Jar with what the dream inside is about! Don’t forget to let us know your name and age too.

4 Exchange your Dream Jar for a Golden Ticket! Bring your Dream Jar to Woods in the Books or Books Ahoy! and we’ll give you a Golden Ticket for your Dream Jar. The Golden Ticket will give you 20% off your next Roald Dahl book!

5 Find out if you’ve made the winning Dream Jar! We’ll announce our favourite Dream Jar on 12 September 2016 at the Roald Dahl 100 Tea Party at Books Ahoy!, so don’t forget to come and party with us!
